OPERA WORLD.- "Valderrama and Del Valle: romantic sparkles"

The violinist Ana María Valderrama and the pianist Víctor del Valle join forces in this brand new record work on the Eudora label to bring together two of the most beautiful works of sonatatic literature for violin and piano of Late Romanticism, of very similar technical and expressive demands : Sonata nº 3 by Johannes Brahms and the only Sonata composed by César Franck.
The miraculous conjunction between both interpreters is evident from the first piece that opens the compact, the energetic Scherzo of the well-known Sonata FAE, the one written by Robert Schumann, Albert Dietrich and a very young Brahms of only 20 years, who was entrusted precisely this memorable piece that Valderrama and Del Valle revive here with total forcefulness. Both performers complement each other in perfect balance in these works in which the two instruments are equally important, and where raptures and lyrical and melancholic expansions prevail (Mélancolie is actually called Franck's beautiful and poetic piece with which they close the job).
Valderrama's violin, very timbred, with radiant luminosity and ineffable chanting, is associated with Del Valle's attentive pianism, which folds to the song of his companion with discretion and eloquence. Through these two sonatas, the two performers breathe in unison with the result of amazing fluency and musicality. In short, this is a fortunate recording that is destined to become the undisputed reference of the selected repertoire.
